I need some advice. I need to purchase a set of gauges for my '47 Hot Rod. Bose Engineering sells the adapter for the water, oil , fuel and volts. I was thinking on buying the Classic Instruments mechanical gauges also. For the set and the 5" Speedo and Tach im looking at $1,000. I have 2 originals sets of gauges that came with the car. Here is my question: Is there a cheaper alternative to a decent set of gauges? The reason I was thinking of the larger "5 gauges is that the spacer/adapter would be smaller. If you go to boseengineering.com and click on "Ford Car" you can see what I mean. Thanks!
