Customs 1948 Aerosedan headliner install

Installing a headliner in a 48 Chevy Aerosedan. My 48 Plymouth has a toothed plate above the doors that you push the headliner up behind with a credit card or such. Our Aerosedan doesnt have these. How do you hide the staples or are we missing some parts above the doors? Thanks
