So, im helping my brother try and decide on this car... He has a 64 mustang and finally decided mustangs **** (im such a good brother)... So he has been trying to sell it with little luck... Some one has offered this 48 chevy car for trade on it, and while it looks good, I can tell it needs some attention... The things that bother me is the rear end, and very little lining up... Does this car seem like its full of bondo or is it just me?
I have not seen the car since its in Sumter, SC and thats a 4 hour drive for me, any one around there that would give her a good look?
It has a trans am front sub frame, a 350/350 trans, a ford 9 inch rear, and im not sure if its all trimmed out in that green or just parts are.. And theres a pic of the mustang, just to show what hes got...
    Opinions please?

A bit hard to really see, the trunk doesn't appear to fit real well and needs adjustment; rear fenders have been molded to body with opening raised and radius-ed; recessed tail lamps and license plate, and modified filler cap.

Front fender opening seems to be similarly modified. Who knows what's under the primer and the quality or otherwise of the modifications and work undertaken.

No idea how rear seat belt upper mount is fabricated, there are better ways than that to install retractable belts IMHO than that way. How good or otherwise is the frame graft, fabrication and welding? Buick portholes in hood? 80/90's build by tweed interior? Remnants of coil-over brackets on differential housing gives me the impression rear end came from something else before being installed in this car?

'Caveat Emptor' buyer beware, without a thorough physical inspection and handing over any $$$
