1948 ford coupe kustom questions

I am picking up another toy and was curious what some other hambers have done. The top has been professionally chopped 6 " but i will need to put in the side gl***. Any suggestions on window tracks and kits? I found a local place to cut down the sides gl***.

secondly I really love the desoto grilles and I know i will need to modify the hood to take out the radius but do I need the desoto splash guard? Any experience would be appreciated.

Nice start to a kool shoe. I'd shave that drip rail though because it doesn't flow right.

 

No on the 48 it's either a 49 or 50

 

Maybe it was a 48 and modified to resemble a chopped 1949?
