1948 Ford F1 Starter Question

Does anyone know if the starter on the 226 Cu Inch 6 cylinder and the starter on the Flathead V-8 will inter-change? I have a 6 cylinder 226 in my truck I am restoring and need a new starter. I can find no one who sells the starter for the 6 cylinder.

Yes, it is the same starter.

 

The starter drive is different. The 6 cylinder has one less tooth. I think its 9 teeth vs. 10 for the V8.
