So I am getting the model a on wheels and decided to look at the backing plates. Well I just bought some extra front wheel cylinders for my 56 Ford and looking at the cylinders they looked as if they would fit. Well when I put them in place the round hole that the bleeder and brake line go through fits perfect. The mounting holes are close but would need to me mover in about a 1/8 th of an inch. I would like to use these because I am cheap and have them so the question is what is the length on 39-48 wheel cylinders and what is the bore. This is for the front wheels. Anybody done this seems like it could work? Thanks.

I've been told they will NOT work with the old style brakes. Can't remember why, somthing to do with the brake opperate. Sorry can't give you a better answer, but I posted it on another board a while back. [IMG] [IMG]
