Hey all! Helping a friend with his 49 Stovebolt. It has a toggle switch ignition. Floor stomp starter. 1 wire alternator. And a brand new American Autowire harness (with gauges). Got it all installed, but can't figure out where to put the toggle switch. I have 4 wires "left over" that are supposed to simply plug into the "upgraded GM style ignition switch", but the guy owner doesn't want that. He wants the toggle switch. Any help? I am usually restoring old german cars, so this 6v/12v ranch mutt is hurting my brain...! Thank you!

(I tried asking the folks at the Stovebolt forum, but can't get an admin to approve my email so I can post)

Since after all this time you haven't got a single response, I suggest you give up on the toggle switch and wire it up normally.

  3. I would suggest that you contact American Autowire since it's their harness.

2E on one side of the toggle switch, and 3E and 4B on the other side.

The other wire would go to the alternator, if it were a 3 wire alternator, but it's not, so don't connect it to anything.

    pretty darn simple.
