   I have a 1949 Ford F1 with the stock trans. Can you put a newer straight 6 or V-8 and mate with this manual trans ? any ideas ? ___Thanks

   I have a 302 mounted to my stock 50 top shift. The bell housing I'm using should work with a 300 six. Its an old speed part and very hard to find.
   The bell for the "gulp" SBC is still available new.
