  1. Catwalk is the piece between the trunk lid and rear window.

Any updates with the top chop?

  3. Sure do!! I’m super excited about it. So much problem solving because I don’t do this full time, but also it’s a car I don’t even have references for. But man, does it feel like a brand new car now!

I roughed in the sail panel to see how we are looking and I feel like the flow is looking good. I reallr hated that rear window at first, but leaned down it works really well.

  4. and the hardtop conversion I’m slowly figuring out. It was a shame my parts car wasn’t savable, but there was plenty of parts I needed…

Looks like a good job on the "flow" & proportions. I like it. I hate the rear-squashed or flattened look. Totally kills the vibe. Yours' is nicely rounded. :) .

  7. Chipping a long! Honestly I would have been done now if it wasn’t for the the hardtop conversion! Man, it’s been hard. Lots of things to figure out… I’m gonna be happier but damn is it work! IMG_4980.jpeg IMG_4966.jpeg IMG_4927.jpeg IMG_4980.jpeg IMG_4966.jpeg IMG_4927.jpeg

The chop looks great, do you have a windshield and back glass cut to fit yet?

  9. So I did! And I managed to break the goddamn glass the day I was supposed to take her to a car show lol. Oh well!

I got some plexi in it for now. I did a smash down on the car and I got it ready in time for a local show and she actually got two awards! 379932873_6451009741688738_8185177870836630526_n.jpg 379918516_1659529227905178_5964927260387303281_n.jpg

It's FINALLY looking closer and closer to what I dreamed about with the chop... such a new car now!

    nice job !!

  11. Thought I drop in show some progress on the car. I’ve been working on the hardtop conversion with the parts I got off a parts car. It was a bummer, the hardtop was a “fake” hardtop so they didn’t actually have rolling frames. But.. it still gave me a bunch of parts I needed so here’s with the frames done…just done in my garage with a few hand tools!

  17. Chipping away! I can't tell you how much work it's been to get this car straight. As you guys know, flat hides a lot so I've been able to get away with a lot for a while. But I want to get to the next part of this project so I've going to town getting this car straight as best as I can. I only have myself working on this bad buy, but I'm making it happen and I hope you guys like seeing it happen!

It's rad to see how much different the car has come along...

Right before I decided to do the paint, I decided to do a little work on the front. I brought the grill back 2 and a half inches, along with slicing up the splash pan and moving it back as well. Removing the side markers I felt really cleaned up the front end and smoothed things out where it feels custom, but still feels like what the car was.

  18. Just now finding this thread. What a great journey and an amazing transformation on a car pretty much most all of us would overlook. You've done a wonderful job and this is going to be quite a stunning car!

I couldn’t get it out of my head that I have done a radius on every part of the car, but not the hood. So I went and built a lip from hand, sculpted it and I think this last touch really was worth it!

  27. It’s coming along! I got the whole grill together and help with my buddy Robert, we got the good pretty well lined up and working correctly with the hood latch.

I can’t tell you how happy I am with it! I feel like it was THE touch the car needed to get it the direction I wanted… D5CE0876-ADE5-4803-991D-DA7836E6D4CB.jpeg

Looks good. The rounded hood corners and shaved parking lights are a nice touch.
