Yes it is zinc chromate primer Steve. I picked it up at Canadian Tire, not sure if it is as good as the original stuff but it works well for me. "I put that Sh*%! on everything", regards, Rhys.

Working away on the left side still. Little bit more to finish on the back end and I can fit the rear quarter and fender for final gaps. Regards, Rhys.

Finally finished a large turbine overhaul at work that was started on September 19th thus the reason for few posts. I finally got the body on the chassis today. I need to trim the trunk pan to get the back down and centre it up but it went on vey well with good fitment up front and on both side. I have to level out the frame machine and then get it all welded out over the next month or so and then onto the "chop". No pictures now until the roof, I know that it is not HAMB friendly. Regards, Rhys.

I do have lots of pics but it's all the non HAMB friendly stuff with the tie in of the Lincoln chassis. I just bought some door bottoms and lower door patch panels from sldnmatt, I will have to post some pictures when I get to those. Everything is coming together nice. I just can handle getting flamed from Bad Bob anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards,Rhys.

  12. HaHa. Flaming is nothing more than the other guy venting frustrations.
Let them do it as it gets it out of there system.... lol

Hell, i never put two and two together and realized this was your car! your a hell of a fabricator, you didnt need those pieces from me! Bob flames everybody, but hes a good guy. I can appreciate what your doing, im interested in how its going to look. with a stock height roof, its going to look like it has a bit of a chop to it.. Its all about proportions, as long as it looks good your ok! There use to be a chopped model A coupe that had been widened that sat at a tire shop in Long Beach or Paramount when i was a kid, I always wondered what happened to it. Probably worth $$ now because the guy descided to do something different back in the day..

I can only fab up the small panels Matt. I wish I had your talent and tooling. I look forward to installing the panels I purchased from you. I wish you made more, inner and outer rockers, quarter patches, etc..... I'm sure that others on here would like that too. You truly have an amazing talent. Regards, Rhys.

Thanks for posting the step by step pictures for the lower front fender repair. I'm having to deal with the same thing and your pictures will be extremely helpful. One question I had is how were you able to fold the edge over when it is on a curve (i.e., the edge that aligns with the door)? Are there any special tricks I should be aware of?

  25. Come on....grow some thick skin. You weren't building it to please me anyways, right. hahaha!
You do have some great skills. I just question the motives.

  26. System is clean...haha I removed the negative comments from the thread. Think i'll just watch from the shore and see if the boat sinks or swims.
Enjoying the metalwork though. I'll keep watching.
