1949 Mercury Flathead rebuilt

I bought this flathead this February 2025.The owner started it up for me.I have it on video.He is a retired mechanic.I have his contact information.And I have photos of our conversation.He rebuilt the motor for his cousin.To go into a matchbox boat.But the cousin moved out of state.And refused to pay for the rebuild.So the boat never was put into the water.The engine has no running miles on it. I will post pictures of the conversation we had about the motor.When I bought it,The motor has adjustable lifters.But no high performance cam .It is a 4” Merc engine .I have a video of the motor running.I made the video in February 2025.Ron 559/426/0597. tinrussler@gmail.com
