Not much done lately. I have welded a couple days on it, but not very noticeable. Did some paying upholstery jobs which included one complete interior in a 48 Plymouth. Then life got in the way...my son (43) was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. So it’s been an up and down few months helping him with his family and appointments. After a couple surgeries we found out a week ago that he is now cancer free and no chemo or radiation needed. He has to get put back together in a couple months when everything heals, but right now we’re very thankful. Happy to have him on the mend and glad to help with anything we can. God is good. So the Ranchero will continue and when some real progress shows I’ll be sure to post it. I just finished reading this whole thread and it does fire me up to get back at it. Stay tuned.
Yes, God is good! Thankfully your son is on the mend and hopefully he will remain cancer free for a very long time!
congrats on you son getting better and man this is one hell of a project and your on hell of a craftsman, well done!!.....
Sorry to hear about your son!! 43 is young for that cancer. Thank the Lord they discovered and and treatment has been successful!! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Slowly doing some more welding and finally put some wheels and tires on the rear. They’re a little small, but will eventually go on the front. Need some decent 49/50 caps for them. All I had laying around were the 60s so put one on.
Thanks for the update photos, Jake...Have long admired the 'Shoebox Rancheros', just soooo 'natural'. Glad to hear of your son's good graces.
Hit a local car show today and spotted this. From the looks of the framed photo it was built back in the day. Cliff Ramsdell
