Let me just start off by saying.... I know I need to Upgrade to Bendix style. :p
As I know most of you are very familiar with these brakes and let me say...A Royal pain in the A$$ they are. Parts are crazy expensive. I am on the verge of just upgrading to disc but, I hate to spend the money. My wife can't drive a stick, so I do not have to worry about her driving the car. I would on the other hand like for it to be driver friendly. Maybe mey my nephews drive it from time to time (me with them, of co****)! Just wanted to vent!

I found a brake set up for my 49.....They are on a 54 and the guy is gonna put disc on it and I could just have the set up on it for free!.!.
My 49 is a Chevy Styleline Deluxe. Original drive train still in the car. Rides and drives great. Just those damn Huck brakes...LOL Now I can get those off and the car will be driver friendly.
    Thanks for all the input.

Picked up an entire front suspension off a '51 Chevy this past weekend for $50. It's all been rebuilt! The deals are out there. Don't have to go disc route.. these work just fine!
