Prolly a stupid question cuz everybody wants one but a buddy of mine did some trading and acquired a '50 2dr merc.

NOT chopped, no motor, no interior, floors are rusted out, some rust around back glass and usuall areas but not rusted through, straight body, good back glass, all other glass broke, good front grill and bumper, rear bumper, all the trim, good tailights an excellent project car.

what would be a fair price he could get for it?

He wants either the money or trade it for a station wagon.

    Thanks

I sold a 49 Mercury coupe about 8 years ago. It had a bad motor (locked up and the heads missing) and the rear end was missing. Because the rear was missing, it had laid on the ground for 20 years. It was GONE around the bottom up for 3 - 4 inches. It was real good from there up....all the glass good and all the trim in place. No title and I kept the factory fender skirts that were lying in the back seat.

I got $1500......in South Carolina and sold it to a man in Kentucky........He hauled it home..he saw my ad in Hemmings. He was chopping one and needed the top and spare pieces.
