Hot Rods 1950 3100 Short bed

I recently purchased a 1950 Chevy 3100 Short bed truck. This is frame and body parts only. I want a highway truck. I am trying to figure a direction to start from. I have looked at the S10 forums, Heidts$, Fatman$, and TCI$ catalogues. I have a 1994 Buick Roadmaster with 45,000 miles very well maintained. The wheel base is almost exact. I have not measured side to side yet. Could this be a potential donor. I have also heard that some people are using the Durango/Dakota frames in conversions. I have a 98, 4bolt, 350, that I am hoping is rebuildable I could use with that.
