Thanks! She should be here any day now. I had ordered my throttle stuff last week, and wanted to get it installed. Now that I took it for a spin, I parked it way off to the side of the garage. Firgure it will be a bit before I can do anything.

I also ordered the Altman latch set, but need door handles before I can install it.

Anyway, the video wouldnt upload, I'll try again later.

I just re-read this entire thread - especially looking closely at how you replaced all your cab panels. Wow, a ton of work went into this one! Thanks again for taking the time to share all that. It's going to save me some headaches of my own (I hope. haha).

So cool to see it driving down the road. And good luck with the little one.
Woot, woot - you're living the dream! :)

Thanks guys, I have been proud of myself to be honest, I get that sick feeling looking back at all the stuff I did in the past wondering how I had the patience to stick with it so long, but glad I did.

Bring it on man, I need some help too!!

No, not yet. I need to make a decision though, my Dad said he wanted to ***s out the wood though as his contribution to the project. I think I may just by one of the precut/drilled kits and have him stain it up really cool. My Father in law however has a buddy with a sawmill up around Leaky and can get Cypress or Mesquite but that will mean more money and having to cut and drill it all but will be really unique.

Pretty simple to cut and drill ,your bed is prolly not 8 feet long , you only need to rabbit the edges ,one p*** each side of board on a table saw.2 hour job to build your own your choice of wood. 3/4 thick will work nicely . The most work will be in the metal strips ,cleanup and paint , maybe powder coat them... [IMG]

In the 53 I restored, I finished the wood with tung oil....it has held out well, even living in Florida.
