After recently buying a couple project vehicles, I decided I need to sell something. So, putting this out there. Selling my fairly recently acquired 1950 Buick. I bought it from the original owners son and it has lived its whole life in the town that I work in. Car has 67,000 original miles and is likely the most solid and unmolested old car I have ever owned. I haven’t found any rust in the car at all. It has had one amateur repaint. It has the original 248 and Dyna Flow transmission as far as I know. When I got the car, it had been sitting a while, but brakes, etc. all still worked. So, I installed a new electric fuel pump and new hoses, changed the fluids, and started driving it. I have probably put 3-4k miles on it since I started driving it which is about half the number of miles that were put on it from 1963 to the present according to the oil change tag in the door jamb. All the lights, turn signal, etc. all still work and the car is still 6 volt. It still needs some work to be a nice car, but is a very nice start. It needs seat covers and tires among other things. I haven't even tuned it up, but it actually seems to run pretty decent down the road. Anyway, the journey of the car since I got it last year is all documented here. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-adventures-of-bob-the-big-ol’-buick.1265291/ I might consider partial trades, but mainly just need the cash to go toward some other vehicles. Still for sale...need the money to put into other projects. Would make someone a great car. Make me a reasonable offer.
$8500??? I know it has four doors, but is also a very nice old car for the money. The price won’t drop much below here or I will just keep it.
This seems WAY reasonable for a 73 year old running and driving and unmolested car in this condition even with extra doors. Anyone? Partial trade for 39/40 Merc parts or ???
May just need to have one of my kids put this on Marketplace as much as I hate dealing with some folks there.
Still available... Partial trades for interior work on my 56? Or, maybe 39/40 Merc parts? Never know what I might trade for. Surely someone on the HAMB needs a nice survivor Buick.
Lowered to $8000. It is almost driving season and my Fairlane is in need of a few things and I still need a Caddy motor for the Merc.
Had someone that saw Bob on Marketplace come see it yesterday. Pretty sure he was planning to ruin the car with lots of “updated” crap. Please save Bob’s life by buying him and keeping him old.
