Trying to put the widest white walls on it. But having trouble getting all the figures worked out like the bias ply h78-15 what is that in radial I am getting numerous answers.

It's not that we don't like them, it's just that our parents had them, thus making them inherently un-cool. Station wagons are THE WORST, by the way.
Real hot rodders know that it's much cooler to get sunburned in a roadster or convertible while driving with our knees up around our ears, thinning grey hair swriled into tiny knots from the wind, eyes dried out and red from squinting intot he sun. Those of us lucky enough to have a chopped 3 window enjoy the cramped interior and uncomfortable driving position with the added benefit of not being able to see where we are going, so we're always mildly suprised where we are when we get there. Any available luggage space we fill with tools, and maybe a change of shorts, which smell like exhaust fumes and tire smoke. Once we get where we're going, we like to hang out with old geezers with similar cars, collapse in the shade and recouperate. We're too tired and painful to talk to sedan owners, who haven't suffered for their art, we just want to sleep. In truth, we're jealous of those choosing to drive big old 4 door sedans with lots of room, comfy, sofa like seats with big windows to see out of, so we make fun of people who don't know how un-cool 4 door sedans are. Hope that helps clear up any questions you may have!

That has got to be the best, most accurate, and complete answer to the question.
I'd love it if it wasn't so true...

Flyinbrian I take it you were a writer in a past life. That was well put. And I have that experience with my 51 chevy pick up. So I wanted a low sofa that looks sexy and comfy now. I can burn rubber and get my chiro. appointment when I drive my truck.

And, in our garage are a couple of comfortable old cars, including a wagon, so I can make fun of everybody.

Is 3 3/8" whitewall to much on a 15in rim by diamond back? Thoughts on widths be great. They quoted me $1,057 shipped to my door for p225/75 r15 with 3 3/8" wide whites

Ah yes, another who has found the lines of the Buick is timeless! Great car and very cool contents. Take plenty of pictures of everything as this is a true reference car for those that need to know specific things concerning original factory!

Enjoy the Buick brother. I love mine!

Amazing find. And I thought my old Users Manual from the 50 was cool, all tattered. Those are museum pieces. Congrats!

My '50 Super had a split windshield. They made some without or maybe replaced to a 1 piece?

    BFG 7.60-15s from Coker.

Your alliance discount will make them less than the Diamondbacks and they will look much, much better.

    What an interesting thread...

OP, I'm not very familiar with old Buicks so it is cool to see pictures of your car. Its style is influenced by aircraft styling. Because of that, I'll bet the 4 door may even show off the styling better than a 2 door. Your descriptions are a bit over the top. From what I've seen here so far, being "matter of fact" about your car allows other people to compliment it more freely. That said, you're still on here and you've had it for 10 years now - new pictures and updates would be cool.
