Hoping someone here can give me some information. I'm about to replace the windlace on my 1950 Buick Special. I've been told there's a cardboard sticky backing that needs to be used. The current windlace in the car looks as if it's just seated around the doors and pillars but there's no cardboard, staples, etc. Am wondering if anyone has a 1950 Buick that could lend some advice.

Never done the windlace on a vehicle so I'm looking for all the help I can get!
    Thanks

i've never done a 50 buick but i usually just glue or staple it depending on the situation. never seen any stickey backed cardboard in a trim shop. I've used some cardboard strip stuff on furniture but it had no backing. Take it apart and see how its put together. It might be just held on with the trim. Post some pictures.
