Hi, can anyone help me out with the missing knobs/switches on this 50 Cadillac dash? I need to know what's missing, what goes where & does any one have any for sale? I would also like an original radio, working or nonworking. I look foward to any help that can be given, Regards, Wayne.
I would say that the hole to the left of the speedo is the headlight switch. The one next to the key should be the lighter. Not sure about the one above the lighter.
The seller says all lights work, so I'm ***uming the black switch to left is now the light switch, which would mean that if that is the case there would have been 2 holes to the left as well. I'm thinking maybe a wiper switch should need to be there somewhere.
On right top hole appears to be for starter ****on and then the ignition key and cigarette lighter below that. Your photo has the ignition in the incorrect position. I'd hazard a guess and say that the missing hole was fitted with the headlamp switch and that could be the wiper switch below it? If you go ahead and purchase the car do yourself a favour and purchase workshop and Fisher body manuals, you'll thank yourself later.
Thanks for the info. Was there not a manual choke on these cars? I will try & find some manuals as you suggest. The ignition appears to be a turn key starter not a push ****on one.
