There's a bunch of Threads on late 40s through 54 Dodge/Plymouths Easy to fit in a 318, some hop up parts for the flattie. There are upgrades for the front available.
i know the rear will be easier but the front....which upgrades are u talking about....i would like to lower and maybe do disks eventually
The stock suspension is good check the NAPA web site they may have a lot of parts for it. There are several disc brake conversions out there. Do a search on the H.A.M.B.
sounds good thank you....pics friday hopefully....it is in great shape but i am missing all side stainless....any one know where i coudl get some?
nice car. the front brakes suck. first things first go to disks up front. we have five guys in our car club three of us have 49-51 mopars. join the p15-d24 forum lots of info and very helpfull people.
These Early Post-War MoPars seem to really be coming back. They are really good looking cars when done right. I think there was even a Jalopy Journal article a while back wondering why these cars aren't more popular...
i really like the look of this one....has a nice grille....not much needs done in my eyes safe for ride height
Nice cars, getting alot of interest these days. They do have their share of rust issues so look everywhere! I have also seen frame cracks around the front coil pockets so steam clean the area and look carefully. The fluid drive is kinda goofy but if it is in good working order it can be tolerable. There is plenty of excellent info and help at www.p15-d24.com so check in there. Send a PM to olddaddy for disc swap info. .
Disc brake kit & shock mount relocaton. Mr. Street Rod (if he's still in business) & Butch's cool stuff have stuff for the 46-54 cars.
