Hi guys, a friend just bought a 1950 F1. My 1952 F2 serial plate is located on the inside of the glove box door from the factory. His F1 is missing the glove box door. Is this where his serial would have been? Thanks, Al

Might be a stamped number on the top of bellhousing if it still has the orig engine/trans?

  3. Vin/data tag on the inside of the glovebox, a data tag on the firewall then somewhere on the front frame rails forward of the cab

Time to ask some questions of the previous owner...is there possibly another truck out there carrying your glovebox and registered to your serial?? If you have the frame stamps you can pretty well prove the # belongs to your truck, I would think, but the trouble when a situation like that hits the DMV might be ugly for all concerned. You might end up owning 2 trucks. Or none.

The stamp on trans bellhousing does not exist on F series...that ended with '47 trucks.

  6. My 49 has it on the tag on the right top corner on the firewall and the top right frame rail by the axle centerline.
