I am not sure I fully understand if your looking for a conversion kit for a SBC into a 50 Ford or for converting something on your flathead... I will tackle the conversion kit for a SBC into a 50 Ford...two places I have found stuff: http://www.brockmancustomparts.com/page7.html or Jamco: http://www.jamcosuspension.com/products/sfID1/3/sfID2/39/productID/810 Hope that helps.
Yup, try Jamco for the 'conversion'. Macs, Dennis Carpenter, and Shoeboxford.com all have parts for your Shoebox. I've bought several items from Dennis Carpenter, I've always gotten good service.
Those should be pretty common and if you do it right you shouldn't have to alter any or much of the Ford pieces. You can run the Ford three speed although it might be a bit weak for a sbc if you get on it.
im going for a full rebuild on the 50 engine and trans so im gonna pop in a turbo 350 ...and one more thing i guess it has a brokin valve seat is that something i could change myself or take it to the speed shop?
I spent a lot of time researching flatty build/rebuilding before doing mine. I found the best results (in my humble opinion) was from Mark Kirby from Motor City Flathead out of Detroit. Mine has been on the road (read-hiway) cruising for 5 trouble-free years, knock on wood.....
