Technical 1950 ford shoebox steering.

I just replaced my 49s box with a rebuilt unit from shoebox central. New Coker firestones and steering linkage and idler arm and bracket. Drives like a new car!

Yes please very interested in what car rolls box

 

I did a little dogging and I'm thinking he might have used a late 70's box, the linkage looks so similar to the shoebox

 

Theres no reason to change the steering box. Just put all parts in good condition. My 1950 Ford steers easily with one finger. Dont use wide tires

 

i heard a guy say they are using ranger steering boxes. anyone hear of this yet?
