    Hi All,
I am installing new door locks in my Tudor, I have them mounted and the square rod is inserted into the square hole in the door. What/how are they connected to the door lock mechanism? Get the feeling that I may be missing some parts. Also, how are they connected to the door lock pulls that come up through the garnish.

    Thanks, Steve

There should be a rod from the lock up through the hole in the garnish at the back of the door that the ****on screws on. Not sure what you asking about the square rod. A picture would help.

  3. The square rod on the lock cylinder goes thru the door lock / latch ***y. It indexes in a piece in the latch that has a corresponding square hole. That piece in the latch is what operates the locking mechanism. The door lock rod from the inside ****ons do not hook up to the same piece, but rather to another linkage on the latch ***y. that performs the same function, locking and unlocking the door latch. Clear as mud ?? :)

Thanks,I got it figured out. On thing was how to install the shell that surrounds the door lock, the other removing the "hitches" in the imported door lock and getting it to move the full rotation without getting jammed.
