How would one plump a 1950 Mercury Flathead for an oil filter? The engine will be installed in a 1930 Ford coupe. Pictures would be helpful.

    Thanks for any help!

You didn't mention, if you're using a stock oil filter,....So this info is for that item. The "IN" line goes from the port on the rear of the engine, and feeds oil to the fitting located on the side of the filter housing. The return line runs from the bottom of the filter housing, to a port located on lower edge of the block. This is along the the pan rail, located approx 6 " from the rear of the block. It's close to where the dipstick atch to the pan. I hope this helps.
