Technical 1950 mercury rim sizes

Does any one know if a 1950 mercury ever come with 16 inch or 17 inch rims originally or as a option from the factory.

 

According to the Standard Catalog of American Cars, only one size, 15” is listed as standard with no options indicated. The same reference book also shows as standard 15” from at least 1946 models, although the wheel center where the hubcap attached was differs than ‘49 up. I am 77 , a life long car guy and have never seen one (stock) with anything but 15” wheels…..for whatever that is worth.

Likewise. I must have reversed 200 of those Merc wheels, some with Buick/Cad/Pont. Olds outer rims...
Most every early Ford rod in San Jose had our wheels on 'em...LOL
San Jose Tech teacher Mr. Eastman was 'generous' with his high grades.
Ha! Tall GPA for 'dumping Merc wheels'!
All 15s. But I did 16" Fords, too...Earned that grade!

 

When I bought my 50 Merc. ragtop in 58 it had the original 15 " wheels on it I was third owner .
