Purchased a Newport wiper motor .
This kit is amazing and simple to install I'm very happy with the product, they do say that 1951 is different to 1950 which is interesting

Good friend of Cusso (Allan) made up a twin 2 and a half inch exhaust out of stainless steel.
He did a great job tucking it out of the way of everything.
I really need to undercoat the floor and chassis in black when the cars home.

Jamco state you can use the original mercury rims with there conversion.
It was not the case with mine . Wheels rub on the brake callipers. Purchased a set of new steel rims that got power coated black. I thought of going tradional red. I was hoping to run original mercury hubchaps. But will settle on some custom ones

Car was rewired front to back by a friend Wilbur.

Spent a few days making up front and rear door cards . Used a new product called Alucopro was easy to work with. Sent everything to a local motor trimmer to get everything looking the same . Happy with the out come.

First time out with new wheels and tyres.
Dropped the car off for a wheel alignment and give the car the once over.
Pro track suspension do great work.

Wanted the engine to look less modern I converted a 1956 Ford Customline oil bath air cleaner to fit the holley carby and filter.
Inspired by the guys/girls on the HAMB I came up with this solution.
Hope to find some mercury rocker covers to convert also

Never saw a set of '57 Lincoln caps with a shield center medallion, only ever saw the star ones. Pretty cool. That'd be my favorite, but all 3 of those choices are nice looking.

This is how the car looked originally but a 2 door.
    Same colour,trim etc.
Maywood green is a nice colour.
I always planed on painting the car and a possibility of a roof chop so we will see how things go.
    I like maroon alot.

For Sure! This is a Chop to aspire to. In my eyes the Correct way to do one. Vertical B Post, Keep the Vent windows and by All means leave the Drip Rails!! This back window angle is also Spot On. I know my thoughts are not in alignment with the mainstream way of doing them, but I know what I like when I see it, this is it for me. Cranberry is also a good color on these body's.

Fully agreed on the chop on this car! I lean toward less of a chop than usual on the 49-51’s and this one nails it and makes you question whether it isn’t maybe even factory.

  28. Very clean work!
