Not shown in the pics, but drip rails are gone now,...at first I was going to leave them, but i understand how much some of you hate it when a car doesnt have them,so they are gone now.:)

Pretty subtle slant to the B-pilars. Looks like you're getting her done! Great job.

The profile of your back window looks just like mine...

thanks,,this car is going to put me in the mental house I believe....seriously....:)

I wasnt going to post any pics untill i was done with it,because there are some ***holes on this board who like to talk **** and pic everything apart,but,... one of the things I have always liked about the HAMB was people sharing the things that they are working on.:)

**** THAT!!! I wish there were more posts with Merc builds. That way we can appreciate the final product even more. How much is yours chopped? Your back window looks just like mine...
I've never been a fan of the rails being removed...but that doesn't mean it looks bad. The Sam Barris Merc has no rails. Looks pretty good.

Here's a friends Merc, chopped by **** Dean. No rails either...not real fond of all that space between the quarter window and the rear window. Mine was moved forward just like yours. I like that look better.

SlddnMatt says it's 4 1/2",but when I measured it against ******s,unchopped Merc,it's more like 5". I measured right in the middle of the door.

I was referring more to the rear window location, and the distance to the trunk...

yes.thats what i was meaning to say, i studied as many chopped Mercs as i could before getting the balls to cut it and most have that real thick C pillar..Which is cool to,but just wanted to do it my way:)

Mine really needs to be lowered in the rear really bad,but i need to swap the rear axle as it's a lil to wide to go any lower,so that is why the front is sitting higher in some of the pics(it has a jack under the crossmember:))
I need to C notch/step notch it and tunnel the driveshaft.

    Squigy...hey bro...it's never to late! :)

Mine sits pretty low in the rear, and I didn't tunnel it! I had to cut some clearance for the 9",but didn't change the tunnel under the seat. I don't want to go any lower in the back. I like the 50's stance. Alot of guys are laying frame these days, but that's not my style.

I totally agree..they were'nt that low back then!:D that is one of my pet peeves...i just want it lower in the rear and still drivable.

this is my idea of a lowerd car,(but sits up way high compared to todays standards!
