1950 mercury

    Ok guys here's the deal my buddy has this merc no title car is complete missing few little things like drivers door handle and radiator and little trim ... Inside car is dried up from Arizona sun car has been sitting in same spot since 1974 .... Has rust in floor pans from sitting in the dirt but frame is not pitted or rusted just drivers side under feet and pass side under seat ... The question is he is looking to sell and get a model a 5 window what would this car be worth looking for ball park idea I know there's a lot we don't know about the car .....   2. No title, no deal in my opinion. I just finished dealing with a similar situation in my state and spent two months dealing with getting it all straightened out. In Texas I understand that you can do something called bonding to get a car titled but it still costs some bucks and you have to wait a given amount of time before the title becomes clean. As a parts car I might get it with a notarized bill of sale but nothing more.

    There's always the story of the car that fires right up w a new battery and priming the carb... Never know! Running adds a few bucks. If I really wanted it, I would probably offer a grand as is... If I really wanted it...

    Thx guys for the info title is in his hand just not signed over and old owner has past away ...so he will go to motor vehicle and see what they can do .... Took a better look at rust under car and it is not so bad cleaned car out and found fender skirts in nice shape ... Pulled plugs and motor spins over ... Will see in next few days what will happen with title thx again guys

    Why not just go out in the parking lot at the DMV, have the deceased sign the title and apply for a title in your friend name?
