    i am restoring a 1950 ford custom having trouble getting paint code info
    anyone know how to read body codes???

    I found Vin decoding for a 50 Ford on the net... google it under 1950 Ford vin decoding.

    Many of the major paint company's have cross reference codes that match the original codes very well, go to your local automotive paint dealer with the code you have and ask for help. HRP

    It is impossible to have the exact same colors that they had in the fifties and sixties because they are not allowed to put lead into the paint. So say good bye to the mirror finishes of yesterday..

    try paintref.com and go to 1950 ford and it shows all the colors and paint codes.
