I like it. Would you be mad at me if I asked.....is that diamond plate filler on the back bumper? Not sure about that. Good job.

  3. Good eye!! Yeap it's d-plate I call it the park bench, it's what I had just sitting around so I used it.

I definitely like it. Great custom touches, good execution. I'm on the fence on the diamond plate as well, but like the idea.

i like the car, and the 56 Chevy tail lights. the deck plate bench is, as a friend likes to say, "stylish , yet functional" and for the present is much better than a big gap.

I like the park bench idea maybe if the filler pan was plain steel in body color it would flow better? love the mods to this car!

I've always loved these cars ever since a friend in high school had one. The '56 Chevy taillights are not to my taste, but I like the chop.:)

  15. Thanks for all the input so fare. Frank is a work in progress. I spent today working on getting the vent windows frames fabbed up so I can get the new gl*** cut. Just trying to get it on the road soon. I haven't got to spend much time on him the past few mouths. But thats life right.

This was my 49 Dodge parts car for the build. I had this car before I got the 50 Plymouth because I also had a 50 Dodge 4dr that was in fair to good shape that I was going to build. But it had to many doors for me.LOL So I sold it to my good friend and he has built it now.
:cool:It's crazy to think that one mans junk is another man treasure...
Frankenstien was on his way to the s**** yard when he found me. Some had tryed there hand at chopping the top but pissed it away so bad they just gave up on the car and was going to s**** it.

Here is what Frank looked like the first day I started working on him. My wife went to walmart shopping and she came home to this in the garage. She was pissed because I didn't take any pictures of the old roof that was messed up.. Oops.

  18. Like it a lot! Has a nice, purposeful stance. Like how it looks like its launching off the back wheels. Sunvisor upsets custom flow of roof for mind. Just my 20c.

I'm a visor guy (love em) but with that chop---it's little too big? i really like the build. It's kinda what the guys were doing way back.taking newer parts to make theirs look newer and futuristic!

where did you steal the '56 chevy tail lites ? LOL

  22. Howdy again. Thanks for the input. I got the tail light from a close that had them sitting his shop for some 20 plus years. He stopped by one day when I was trying to come up with ideas for the tail lights. He said to me " Hold on I'll be back in a few!" Ronnie came back with the 56 tail lights and try these. So I did.
As for the "Lee" tail lights is that the covers that go around the 56 housings? I seen something like that and I loved them. But no luck finding some.
The Visior was off of my best friends grandpa's 51 chevy truck that p***ed way about a year ago and Smitty gave it to me. It was in his barn from back in the day. That's how that came to be.
The head lights are from a 56 olds I pick from I a junk yard. Great find I thought.. It was alot of work but I think it made the frontend. The scoop on the hood is from a 58 ford that was sitting in some woods rusting away. I just grabbed it and pulled and came right for, that's how rusted it was. The bumper's where on a plymouth upside down next to the ford I got the scoop from. That was a good day in the woods!

nice car, like the custom work. nice to have such an abundance of cars and parts around you. what engine are you running in frank?

  25. Me again. There has been alot of talk abouot he diamond plate rear filler panel and cool with that. The story about that is. I had a friend Adam that was a Marine that in Irac he pasted way not to long ago. His wife was cleaning out his garage and gave me all of his stuff, he was a jeep guy. Anyway she was dropping off the stuff when I was working on the rear bumper setup and that's where the diamond plate idea come from, Thanks Adam R.I.P.

  26. As for the engine. I have the frame mounts set up for a baby Hemi 331.But until I get the rebuilt I am running a 273 hipo out of a 65 dart. I had to move the firewall back about 5" to make room for the Hemi. Take a look at the pictures album of Frank.

  27. **** man, I didn't think a '50 Plymouth could look that cool! I like the Chevy touch.

  28. Hell with a little work anything look some what good.LOL A ugly chick looks good too, if she has enough makeup on.

  29. i think you should go with some 57 vette front bumperetes on the back, they repop them.
