1950 plymouth where is #1 plug on dizzy?

    I know the firing order but not where the #1 plug goes on the cap?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
     
  2. Wherever you want it to be!! Drop the distibutor into place anywhere, crank the engine with number 1 plug out untill you feel the piston coming up on compression (old finger on the plug hole trick). Make note of which way your distributor shaft is going---the next terminal it gets to will be the number one wire. Of course if you have a timing mark somewhere on the harmonic balancer, then you will have 6 possible scenarios, and only one will work with your timing mark.
