I just picked up this 1950 silver streak straight 8 decided I'm going to do my first full build thread I'll post as much as I can on the project first step is to get it running it has the original 6v system so that will be going to 12v as I have the engine cranking but it won't fire up the battery gets a few good cranks then dies so that's the first order of business but the rest im just going as I go. Hope it'll turn out well ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428128852.999287.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428128866.099626.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428128876.683949.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428128909.703970.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428128921.988629.jpg

what you show in your pics seems to be normal. my brother-in-law did a body-off on his chevelle and had loads of fun getting replacement panels to fit!

It looks like you've good a pretty nice car to start with. I saw some of those extensions on ebay that looked to be in about the same condition. I think I'm going to try them. I'm making as many of the panels for my 50 Chevy as I can, but I think spending a couple bucks on those might be worth it.

I'd say so know thinking about the curve is complicated and would take more time to make than worth for the price the panel is
