1950 Pontiac VIN location, no tag

I am helping a friend find the VIN location on a 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak. The tag that should be on the door pillar is long gone. The engine is now a modern sbc, so that doesn't help.

Is there a number stamped in the frame rail that can be found?
