Here locally in the Black Hills. http://rapidcityjournal.com/news/article_03607600-bbc0-11df-9cb0-001cc4c002e0.html?mode=story Hard to move? yup. Located a days drive from the closest major city? yup. Free? yup. Dont slander the property owners, they need the space and have been running their oil jobber out of the same warehouse for 35 years. The warehouse behind the store is just as cool and staying. My dad grew up with teh owner, farm kid that made it big. I grew up with the new generation running it. In fact, they are compe***ion to us! My paint mentors dad even owned the station decades ago. Not like moving a knockdown tin Texaco station. This one is brick and mortar. I have the space but not the means. Unless you want to travel to Rapid City SD and dismantle it this weekend piece by piece I am afraid it will be lost. The entire block it is on is a cool example of 50s comercial architecture. If it were me, I would turn the station into the office space and move out of the rathole they have in the warehouse.
