Just purchased a 1950 Chevy Styleline 2DR. The interior has been completely gutted with no frames. Are there any interiors I can swap from another car that will fit front and back? I will be looking for original seats but need something temporary since the car runs and drive.

Stude interior front.JPG Stude interior seat folded..JPG get your tape measure out and start measuring (both front and back) what size seat will fit and head to your local U-Pullit or ?? When I built the Studebaker I bought the seats, front and back and console out of a 2014 Mercury Milan. That was three or four years ago and I think I had about $175 in all of it. I tried to find a back seat out of anything to recover the Chrysler mini van seat cover I used as a temp seat in my roadster but totally failed to find anything that was even close. Those Merc seats were comfortable, drivers side was electric and heated (although I didn't install the wiring for that:)

I saw a 50 Chevrolet many moons ago that had the front and back seats from a 64 Impalas SS. probably a bit pricey today.

one thing to note is Fleetline rear seats are different than coupe and sedan. 4 door Styleline bottoms will not work, not sure about the top. convertible and hardtop back seats are different as well

  5. I'm told early 90s t bird rear seats are a fairly close fit

  6. Also where are you located? I have a buddy with a parts car 51 styleline that has a rear seat

Where are you located? There are stock interiors out there. I am re-hashing my interior plan on my 51 as I have to put a cage in it now. Keep us posted on what you find out.

    Man that interior is NICE!

  11. I haven't tried the suggested t bird seat myself. Was told by a guy that has built a bunch of 49-54 Chevy cars. So I can't say its tried and true advice from me but the source is a logically reliable source lol
