I have no idea what to call it or where to find information, but I vaugely remember seeing some info on how dealerships used to have 1/4 scale driveable replicas of their automobiles? I found this ford (like) body and was wondering if anyone knew if it might be one of those promotional cars, and or any information on it?
    thanks,

Is it worth the 300 I'm thinking of paying for it? There are a few cracks and repairs that need to be done....

I Sold the 54 Corvette for 2500.00. about 24 years ago.. but it was complete.. I believe there are sites pretaining to these as for what there suppose to look like in a complete state ..

Do you like it ? thats all that matters.. it would look kool done up..

It's a T-Bird Junior. They made 'em here in Kansas City, a few blocks from my house! More info here:

That might be a junior, but it's not a Tbird. Driver opening and quarter panel curve is all wrong.

After looking at it again, it does look kind of Fairlane-y. They started making the Juniors (mostly Ford) in 1954, so it COULD indeed be one, I agree.

That's some neat stuff right there! Drop in a Briggs 5 horse and go man go! That would be great for the swap meets. Put a little trailer behind it and let the shit-eatin' grins begin! I want one.

You know, it's obviously been painted... maybe someone modified it in 1976 (red, white & blue)?

My first thought was that it was a fairlane as well, but I can't find anything on the fairlanes. Anybody got any info?

Man, I followed link to link to link, ad nauseum, but couldn't find that body style. The closest I found was a 57 Fairlane, but the door is wrong and the fins are way more pronounced. I'd buy that sucker, then find out how rare it is. There was one car on a site that was the only known one left in existence. Gotta be worth some coin to someone.

One of the very best things about the HAMB is that when someone asks such an off the beaten path question, more than likely someone here has the answer! Amazing. Gary

There's a guy here in the Atlanta area that has several of the Ford bodies.. don't remember if they're T-birds or Fairlanes, but hauls a small trailer with three or four of them to shows, and they're all different years.

    I'd say it's worth the $300.

There were promo-kiddie cars at dealers. I seem to remember they were always seen only at the introduction of the new models and were raffled off to a lucky kid or two.
