I Love that Lively Set T-Bucket !!! Pretty loaded up with Goodies. The Green Hornet episode Give Em Enough Rope has a nice roadster. Also Batman tv episode The Joker Goes to School has two nice roadster's.

 

I sure like the picture's of the Kookie Kar on page 3 !!! I can't get page 5 to load for some reason.I waited for three hours. Must be a lot on that page lol.

I tried taken a digital picture of the telivision screen, without great success. It will take a lot of messing around with the camera, to get shots as good as the ones posted by Rbantique and Cecil. This picture is from an episode of Bachelor Father, starring John Forshythe and Sammy Tong. The car belongs to the houseboy, Peter. They refer to this good looking highboy as a 32 Jalopy. I have been watching this show on the Retro TV Network. Although there are not too many outdoor scenes on the show, they do make reference to going to the drag races on a couple of episodes.

 

WoW !!! I didn't know about Bachlor Father having a hot rod in it. THANK'S !!! Do you know the name of this episode ? Is there anyway I can get a dvd of this episode from you ? Do you get Love that Bob on RETRO ? It also has a epiode called Chuck buys a Hot Rod.Thank's for posting this picture. Cecil

The name of the episode is "The dented fender"... I have the episode saved on the cable DVR box, but I do not have a way to copy it to a DVD. I looked into a DVD Recorder, but they are pretty pricey.
I have a couple of episodes of Love that Bob, on a cheap DVD I bought, but not the hot rod episode.
The Retro Channel, has some nice programs, but it could be better. Some of the shows I like are Bachelor Father, Peter Gunn, Mike Hammer-( Darvin McGavin ), Suspense Theatre. Plus there is Alfred Hitchcock, Leave it to Beaver,Adam 12, Dragnet, Emergency, and a lot old western shows on Saturday. There are lot of eighties shows that don't interest me. I wish they had 77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Surfside Six, Richard Diamond, M Squard.

 

Here is a scene from the 1961 movie "Bachelor in Paradise" Lana Turner is showing Bob Hope the bar in his new house in a Californian subdivision.

 

Bob Hope goes to drive-in resturant for dinner in a cab. Lots of great 50's and 60's cars in this movie.

 

Here is the paperboy delivering the paper in a nice green 32 roadster. I need a lot more practice to get some really clear pictures. Any advice for settings on the digital camera ?

Well .... Guess you ansered that ? LOL ... Also Hitchcock has a couple with hot rods one is The Woman Who Wanted to live and The Big Score that RBAntique just told me about.And Leave it to Beaver has one called Wally's Car & one where Eddie & Wally put a chane around Lumpy's rearend and jerk it out from under the car.

 

I thought I was the only one who liked watching Bachelor In Paradise!I haven't seen Bachelor Father on RTV out of Boston yet.

I think those last two picture's are from Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow. It's easy to get those two movie's mixed up.

Anyone have a vhs or dvd of (Dad can I Borrow the car) ? I can't find it either.

 

I just thought of another one .... It was a short safety film called (Hot Rod Handicap) put out by NHRA around 1956.I think they showed it to us in school.
