I think i'm kinda ticked off about this, you should also buy a lottery ticket !!!!!!!!!!!! you did good. Great find
dam..ive been hunting for a cart for my daughter for the past few months on CL..and all i can run across are the ugly**** home built POS that some kid thinks is worth 4 to 500 bucks than you show up with this little gem.. great!..i hope my kid dont see this
Anyone have an Idea on value? Straight axle, metal body, hand brake. New 18hp. Briggs. Im thinking a vintage engine and more correct rear wheels, rear sheet metal would be cool too. 6ft wheelbase 4 ft wide. Is it a 1/4 midget or a cart?
Is the front end on an actual spring, or are the radius rods just for show? New 18hp Briggs, used, I would think at least $500 or more. The cart itself, I would give $400 for it easy (with no motor), but I am a serious cheapskate, I'm sure it's worth well over that.
Wow, I underestimated the value. Ill probably fix it up, screw around with it a little, and wind up tradeing or selling it. No idea of the maker. Ill pick it up this afternoon and shoot some more photos.
The body looks like a quarter midget that someone has cut the back half off or left it off and installed a way bigger motor. The brake handle looks quarter midget, tires and wheels definitely not............
Heres a lil race cart ,,there are a few out there that were built to look like actual race cars ,,by how narrow your front end is I would thing the radius rods are some what functional ..Old Homelite motor would be about right
I saw that on craigslist also. I was contemplating on buying also, it is a sweet ride man. Im from boonville, you ever go to any cruise inns at mount airy?
Got my fat**** in the Kart today but I dont fit at all. Would I be shot or hung for modifying (wider and longer) it for an adult? If you guys would have me publically flogged for modifying it Ill probably put it up on the classifieds.
Bitchin cart ! Just got mine running about a month ago, fulfilling unfulfilled childhood dream number 7985.09 to the tee ! Nothing special, B/S 3.5 hp and an 80s concession cart, but bombing down the ally behind my humble home/shop at 30mph is almost as much fun as racing real stuff! Watch out for physics and gravity though, it is possible to put one over!! Good story though, when people ask why your arm is 100% road rash, and your obviously in your mid forties.
Looking at the pictures you've posted now, I would have definitely given $400 for the cart, if they would have gone that low, that's a seriously neat machine! As far as fat guys and go carts, let's just say that my landlord couldn't figure out what the crescents in my lawn had been cut with Carts are hot rods distilled to their barest essentials, motor, wheels, steering, go!
It's called a quarter midget. They were way popular in the '50's before go-karts There was originally a tail piece that fit on it that made it look like a sprint car. Did you get that ? Probably lost after it was taken off to mount the bigger motor. Look closely and you should find a tag from the Mfr.
