Cool Cart! Wish the one I had as a kid was that neat, Dad bought mine for $250 at Western Auto 3 1/2 hp.

I have no idea who build this incredible work of art. Maybe one of our HAMB masters. I lifted the picture from somewhere else.

 

Then I saw this. Remembered tipping over and getting head skinned when I was 5. Back in '63.

 

I think that's an old Hudson shift knob.....

Nice kart! I bought one about 8 years ago with intension of restoring it. I haven't got to it yet. I attached a picture hopefully it worked. The research I've done, seems to be what they call a Junior Midget, built before they started calling them Quarter Midgets in the 50's

 

i have a 1940's briggs zz motor i think it would look cool on a old cart or mini bike, ti is a 4 hp but it is very hevy all cast iron

Thanks! It was a great father and sons project. We are currently building another one that will be powered by a 14 hp. West bend two stroke. Should be quite the handfull!
