Technical 1950s? Help Wheels identification

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Fernando Covarrubias, Jan 21, 2024.

  1. Hello I just obtained some wheels they are 15x5 on a 5x4.5 bolt pattern. They have three openings around the overall lug nut location. Does anyone know where and from what car these wheels are from and what those three openings are for? I’m assuming for a center cap. Thank you

    Torkwrench and squirrel like this.
  6. Those slots were probably for a 'tang' on a clip that went there to hold a larger diameter hubcap (not wheel cover)

1950s. They probably used the same wheels on most models.
