I hope that I'm not taking this too far astray, but some of the stuff contained in the ads in those old comic books was cool too......

Most Romance issues had tales of heartbreak about guys that never paid enough attention to cute young teenager girls. Also some Supernatural & Adventure issues.. these were the days when you would watch out for UFOs when parking with your girl on lovers lane late at night.

 

Thats cool stuff, I picked this book up at a local used book store

Thanks for the tip on the 1997 issues of Atomic Overdrive with the 50s style art. The art by Peter Grau is excellent. I REALLY was impressed. Sorry there was only 2 issues. Reminded me of the Blob story line.

A few more. Hot Rod Horror is within the past few years (2004)? which i ordered on ebay yesterday. No idea of content yet. Any other later sequencal art automotive related comics or comic strips out there worth mentioning other than Hot Rod & Drag Cartoon publications which have been covered in depth here on HAMB.
