Here are two Stewart Warner speedometers from the 1950's. Both are complete & original, in great working condition. Both have the iconic "Big & Little" numbers. Both fit into the standard 3-3/8" holes. The first unit is $220 & the second is $345. The prices are plus shipping, which is $17 Priority Mail to the lower 48. The first P.M. committing to buys gets it (or them). This first one was built by S/W in 1955 for the 1955 Studebaker Speedster. That car was a one year only car & quite expensive for the time. Studebaker made a little over 2,000 of them, making the speedometer a rare piece. The styling differs from the standard aftermarket unit produced at the time in that there is no S/W logo & the MPH was moved from under the needle hub to below the odometer. Also, the bezel is different & the gl*** is flat. I did have the lid off to clean the inside of the gl*** & repaint the bezel, which was not up to snuff in relation to the graphics. The original side light windows are intact & the mounting bracket is present & accounted for. Considering the rarity & original condition, this is a very good deal, price-wise. A similar Wings unit, which is essentially the same, would sell for more than twice my price. If you're looking for an era defining speedometer for your build or looking to upgrade from an existing speedometer, this is a no brainer, at $220. (***SOLD***) This second unit is the "Large Logo" style, which followed the Wings run. The model & date code is still on the cup, but the date code is a bit smudged. It appears to be 1958. This one has the original subtle curved gl***, Coke Bottle needle, right angle drive & split mounting brackets. The original side light windows are hanging in there. I did have the lid off this one to clean under the gl*** & repaint the needle. It's a sight to behold. Realistically priced at $345.
