Trying to revive my original fuel tank. Tank has been cleaned and recoated/sealed. However, the fuel supply outlet is clogged. My question:

Is there a internal fuel line? If so, does anyone have a picture or diagram? Maybe some ideas on unclogging? I tried blowing air but it's not getting thru.

    Thanks,

    Cody

No sending unit is on front of tank. Fuel supply is lower left (driver side) front corner

Plug the original line. Remove the sending unit to drill and run a line through the sending unit housing. Easier to service. Not the best to have the fitting at the lowest part of the tank anyway.

I believe it has a tube that goes from that fitting to the low spot in the tank. You may be able to open it up with a wire. But if you have a big cubic inch engine you may not get enough fuel through it.

The sending unit is high on front face. Z shaped line to get lower in tank? You mention drilling thru sending unit housing. Do you mean the flange? How do you seal it?

I have drilled the flange of a sending unit and soldered a copper tube into it for a fuel pickup.

You can use a br*** union/coupler (or an AN fitting) in the drilled hole in the sending unit. With an inverted flare on each side of the union you can connect a Z shaped line into the tank with a standard fuel tank sock on the end. Or, you can braze or solder the line to the sending unit.
