20240908_091632.jpg Selling my sled project, a 1951 series 62 sedan with a very clean, unmolested, free turning 331 2bbl ohv V8. 6 volt. Odometer reads 09042. Clean title in my name.

I drove it around the previous owners property (sitting on a paint can) before purchase. It's missing some teeth on the ring gear but he included what looks like the correct replacement.

Previous owner disassembled and sanded it a bunch for paint and had the bench seats and door panels reupholstered quite nicely if you like blue. They aren't 100% perfect after being stored but are very nice. He installed a fuel pump. It has a rebuilt water pump installed. I had the starter repaired but have done little else on it with the unresolved ring gear issue. I never did an inventory but the parts pile looks really complete. Hubcaps, trim, skirts, body clips, glass dome light, etc. Old whitewalls hold air and brakes are firm. Trans shifts into gear. Water has been drained as it sat.

Body has several small rust spots but nothing terrible. Rear center window is plastic but the rest are original and work fine. He sandblasted the grill pieces. Bumpers are straight, but the rear is split at the weld like they apparently do.

Steering and suspension are solid and original. Rear tires are killer Firestone whitewall truck treads that would make nice displays.

Floor is really solid with the exception of a couple non-lethal trunk issues.

I have a battery and if it's still good I hope to have it charged and in the car this weekend to work on getting it turned over. Bummed to sell this handbuilt Detroit car, but I have to focus on the cars I already have running.

I'm in Bellingham, WA and the car will easily roll onto a trailer with functional brakes and steering.
