I finally got around to mock up the 10 bolt Chevy axle to the stock leaf springs… the driveshaft almost fits, it’s about an inch or two too long. Ignore the lean to the drivers side, there is a flat 14“ radial on the left rear and an even older 15“ allstate on the right. My tonights task is having a beer and staring at my shortcomings

Update...we had a few friends over for a chat and a few beers a week or so ago and how things go, Michael was in need of a project and I had one to many , but with our little boy and a business time is at a premium right now. I just didn´t want this build thread to remain unclosed, so here´s the update.

Michael is a young feller in his early 20s, technically very inclined and I´m gonna help him were I can to finish this truck. At least one more kid that has got bitten by the rust bug, hahaha
    Have fun , Michael.
I have to admit, this is now the first project that I sold unfinished. Shame on me, hahaha

Sometimes you know it's time to pass on an unfinished project. I sold 2 unfinished projects just before I retired because I knew I wouldn't have the money to finish them.

Right, and it‘s great to see someone have fun actually building it. I just didn‘t have the time anymore, our then newborn son and 7 pregnant employees tied me up between changing diapers and long hours in the shop. Now that things are normalizing a bit, I’m trying to put a few hours of work into my 34 build every week.
