Steelies with '56 Fiesta caps is what I'm going to run on mine. If you don't like the idea of steelies and caps, go with Radirs
whitewalls and hubcaps would be my first suggestion (since the car is smoothed off, I would go with a smooth styled hubcap (like a caddy)
there are several cap I like ... just wanted some in put ... I'll post what I put on it ... but wide whites are a must!
the dash is a California Gold. Steel wheels are black powder coated right now. May paint the wheels the dash color.
'53 Stude caps with the centers painted the same gold as the dash. Wide Whites. To make them more trick, find a late '80s GM pickup or Suburban and peel the clear Chevy bow-tie out of the glue-on door badging, paint the back a contrasting color and mount them centered in the caps (use a heat gun to get them to take the shape of the center of the cap).
I would stay away from Cragars, Radirs, or any other aluminum wheel. Painted steel, chrome reverse or wheel covers are about the only safe bet.
I think smoothies painted the same color as the dash with the caps and rings in your picture would be the ticket! Hell, buy some caps too, you can change them every so often!
The WWW and steelies definately took the car to a different level. 54 caddy hubcaps would look real good on it too.
I like the steelies (are you still gonna paint them gold?) but caddy hubcaps is what I'd run. Fender skirts too!! it would smooth out the bottom side of the car and compliment that beltline less chop.. thats a real beaut of a car btw.
Still undecided on painting the wheels the dash gold. I like the black for now and changing the wheel color would be a nice change come spring or easy enough to swap out the centers. Thanks for all the reply's. Gadget
I'll try and get it out this weekend and get some new pics in her current state ... Hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. Gadget
