Customs 1951 Chevy coupe heater ???

    image.jpg Looks like I have a coolant leak coming out of this heater vent/box thing, the hoses are in good shape. Before I try to get into this box could there be a fitting or hose causing a leak in there not sure what the heck is in there..
     
  2. It's just a little radiator, and it's leaking. I've had to deal with that in every car I've ever owned.

    you're lucky it's so close to the passenger compartment. a buddy had an alfa romeo and the heater core was right behind the grille. talk about no heat!

    Check your rad cap, your car either came with 0 pressure rad cap or at most, 4 pounds. Too high pressure will cause leaks in an old rusty system.
