Earlier this week I finally stopped by my friends shop to check out his progress on his 51 Cabover.
Wow, was what I found myself saying over and over again, all while wiping the drool off my chin!!!

I figured some of you might appreciate the hard work he's put into this thing and enjoy a couple pictures so here they are. (pictures posted with permission by owner) I'll send him a link to the post as well.

I don't know much of the details but it is on a 2001 Chevy 1/2 ton ch***is 4x4, will have a flatbed on the back 9' or 10' ?
The headache rack will be removable so the cab can tilt back and not hit anything.
He did move the engine back and down in the ch***is and raised the floor in the cab a few inches but it's only right under the seats so looks like it worked out great.
The steering is angled straight down after a couple universal joints and there is a coupler that can be disconnected from the lower steering ***embly allowing the cab to be raised. (sorry didn't get any pictures of that)

    Enjoy; :)

I'd like to know about those lift pistons.

He should make the steering work when the cab is lifted then he could wheelie the truck itself, release the cab tilt lock and then wheelie the cab!!!!!!

I've sent him a link to the post but being in the members only section (COE Group) he will probably need to register to access here? hopefully he will, he's built some pretty neat stuff.

the steering has a coupler that can/will disconnect from lower shaft to enable the cab to raise. (sorry didn't get any pictures of that)

those are chevy truck seats. they have the seat belts built in. the 2003 chevy work truck i had a few years ago had the same or very similar seats in it.
